Two Policemen Injured in S.Ossetia

Georgian media sources have reported that two Georgian policemen were injured as a result of an attack on the police checkpoint near the village of Kekhvi in the South Ossetian conflict zone late on October 9.

But the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported that the Georgian policemen were injured as a result of an accident after explosives went off at the checkpoint.

?The Georgian side promptly accused the South Ossetian side of [being at fault in] the incident. But the village of Kekhvi is reinforced by Georgian troops, and allegations about the involvement of the South Ossetian side in the incident is absolutely groundless,? the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.
