Georgian PM Visits Azerbaijan

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli is paying one-day working visit to Azerbaijan to hold talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade on July 5.


Reportedly, the issue of purchasing more gas from the South Caucasus Gas Pipeline (SCP) at reduced price will be discussed during the talks. Georgia wants to receive at least 1,5 billion cubic meters of Shah-Deniz gas at reduced price starting from 2007.

Issues related with Baku-Akhalkalaki-Kars railway link project, connecting Azerbaijan with Turkey via Georgia are also expected to be discussed.
