Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili slammed Russia for its refusal to participate in the session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) in Vienna on February 20-21 and described this refusal as “irresponsible.”
“I think that it is irresponsible, because just now it was necessary to launch a dialogue… We should utilize all means to advance the demilitarization process [in the South Ossetian conflict zone], to advance the establishment of a new peacekeeping mandate,” Bezhuashvili told reporters on February 18.
Russia has recently proposed to hold a session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) over South Ossetian in Moscow instead of Vienna.
