North Ossetian Leader: Gas Pipe will Be Restored in Two Days

Leader of Russia?s North Ossetian Republic Taimuraz Mamsurov said that restoration of the destroyed gas pipeline will finish ?in about two days,? Interfax news agency reported.

?Everything is being done in order to restore the damaged [pipeline],? Mamsurov said.

Russian news agencies reported earlier on January 24 that restoration was being delayed because of a gas condensation leak from the pipe, which hindered the welding process.

But the Georgian side has questioned the credibility of this reason.
