Large-scale military exercises with the participation of 6,000 servicemen will be held in breakaway Abkhazia on August 15-19, the Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported.
The news agency quoted Chief of Staff of the Abkhaz Army Anatoly Zaytsev as saying that armored vehicles, artillery, the navy and air force of the unrecognized republic will participate in the military exercises in the Ochamchire district.
Zaytsev said that planned maneuvers include Abkhaz troops repelling a sea landing operation of the enemy forces.
