President of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh said on July 12 that the Abkhaz authorities are ready to grant citizenship to Russian citizens, if they invest more than USD 2 million in the economy of the breakaway region.
?Land in Abkhazia will not be sold, while privatization of facilities will be conducted only through the decisions by Parliament,? the news agency Regnum quotes Sergey Bagapsh as saying.
At the same time, the Abkhaz leader said that investment programs should be developed and implemented on mutually beneficial terms.
?It is clear that any investor wants to earn money ? it is quite normal,? Bagapsh said, adding that all the deals will be made in accordance with Abkhaz laws.
