New S.Ossetian PM Appointed

The Parliament of breakaway South Ossetia approved Yuri Morozov as the unrecognized republic?s Chairman of the Government on July 4, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.


According to this report, Morozov, 56, served as the financial director of one of the fuel companies in the Russian town of Kursk before this appointment. No other details about Morozov have been reported.


Morozov replaced Zurab Kokoev, who has been the acting Chairman of the government since May.
