U.S. Official: Reported Grenade Posed No Threat to Bush

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said on May 11 that President Bush’s life was not in danger from a dud hand grenade which was found near the site from where the U.S. President addressed Georgians on May 10, Reuters and Associated Press reported.

The White House official also said that President Bush was informed about the reported hand grenade on Air Force One, after he departed Tbilisi.

“The Secret Service and FBI are continuing to look into it… There have been different reports about what happened and what exactly it was,” Scott McClellan said.
