President Saakashvili said on March 29 that U.S. President George W. Bush’s visit to Georgia, scheduled for May, “is a clear signal that the world’s most influential and powerful country stands on Georgia’s side.”
“He [George W. Bush] said: I am coming to Georgia to support democracy, historic reform and peaceful conflict resolution – this is his official statement. What does it mean? It means that these conflicts, everything that is happening here, is not only our and one of our neighbors’ business – this is a matter of personal interest for the world’s most influential country’s President. We should realize the huge importance this visit is for us,” President Saakashvili said.
