Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Baramidze said on April 28, that the central authorities are doing utmost to solve Adjara crisis with peaceful means; ?however, if needed Interior Ministry is ready to carry out police operation in Adjara.?
President Saakashvili warned on April 27 that law enforcement agencies will act against Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze if he continues to defy the central government.
?If Abashidze continues this way [defying central authorities], the law enforcers will deal with him,? Saakashvili told reporters, while visiting Ukrainian capital Kiev on April 27.
