Anti-Corruption Council Slams Customs, Tax Departments

The Anti-Corruption Council of Georgia submitted to President Shevardnadze list of up to 17 officials of the customs and tax departments, allegedly involved in the misappropriation of the budgetary funds.

The Anti-Corruption Council did not reveal the names of those high-officials. Kakha Ugulava, secretary of the council told reporters after the meeting that more than 4 million Lari (USD 1,8 million) was misappropriated as a result of those officials? activity.
