Parliament Discusses Constitutional Amendments

(Tbilisi, June 18 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Parliament started discussion of the draft on constitutional amendments submitted by the Labor Party.

The draft implies the introduction of Cabinet of Ministers and two-chamber parliament. The inter-faction group has already discussed the draft.

Only 54 MPs attended the draft discussion today. The opposition factions boycott the Parliamentary sessions, demanding adoption of the democratic Election Code.
