Georgian Army Wants to Adopt NATO Regulations

(Tbilisi, December 19, 2002. Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Defence Ministry is breaking with the Soviet Army tradition and wants to adopt NATO regulations.

The Georgian defense leadership at the Military Council of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) discussed the new army regulations today.

According to the MoD new regulations were worked out on the bases of the documents adopted by the US, Romania, Czech Republic and Bulgaria and it will promote Georgia’s integration into NATO.
