Ardzinba Dismisses Jergenia

(Tbilisi, November 29, 2002, Civil Georgia) Leader of the Abkhaz separatists Vladislav Ardzinba dismissed his prime minister Anri Jergenia due to failure to fulfill the law on budget for 2002 and prepare the breakaway republic for the winter, Interfax news agency reports.

Ardzinba suggested the cabinet to continue functioning before a new government is formed.

Genady Gagulia was appointed the new prime minister of the self-declared republic. According to Ardzinba’s decree, Gagulia has to suggest candidatures of members of the new cabinet within a week
