Large Scale Police Operation Underway in Tbilisi

Georgian security services are carrying out a large-scale operation on Gabriel Beri Avenue in Isani District of Tbilisi.

Media outlets reported that a counter-terrorist operation started late night yesterday, with sounds of gunfire and explosion heard throughout the night. 

Residents of nearby buildings have been evacuated, media outlets also reported.

No details are available from official sources.
