Georgian Soldier Killed in Afghanistan
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 27 May.'11 / 15:16

Junior Sergeant Lavrosi Ivaniadze from the 33rd battalion was killed in “the mine explosion during patrolling” in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, the Georgian Ministry of Defense said on May 27.

With this latest death, total number of Georgian soldiers killed in Afghanistan, since joining the NATO-led operation in November, 2009, increased to eight.
